Monday Night Raw July 20, 2026

Well. SummerSlam is next weekend. Let’s see what build we get tonight since as of now we have about 6 matches announced over 2 nights.

We start with a video package of the past Saturday Night Main Event. Great.

Before this starts off, let’s kick into a couple of threads from last week that we’ll see if they pick up..

  • Otis was attacked by The Vision. Why didn’t Gable come out to help him at all? Sure, he had a match later in the night - but they didn’t even acknowledge that they’re back on good terms and that he SHOULD have even if he DIDN’T.

  • When Roman was getting whipped by Seth last week, where was Jacob and Jimmy? They were literally on the show earlier in the night. Why did they just leave him hanging?

Match 1

We kick off the show with a tag match. Je’Von is out first. His entrance gives me a headache, honestly. I love the kid, but hate the super shaky cam. His partner is Dragon Lee. Ok, let me take a wild stab here and guess they’re going against Rusev and Ethan Page. No, actually. They’re going against Bron and Theory. Why? The Vision are tag champs, why would Je’Von and Lee who haven’t tagged before get a shot at getting a shot against the tag champs when there’s actual tag teams out there, including the Street Profits who just lost the belts and have since, again, disappeared.

A random comment, but I’m surprised that Byron is still with the company. Don’t get me wrong, I love Saxton - but I feel like although he’s always marked as an analyst for Raw he’s never on TV. Maybe he’s on the international broadcasts while I’m seeing commercials.

I don’t want to say that they’ve dropped the ball on Bron, but what are they doing with him? He’s been IC champion, he’s fought for the world title, he’s been in a long program with Seth. But last week they made him look like a chump versus Otis. Will he recover? Yeah, almost assuredly. And as I say that, the crowd goes crazy for a power slam on Lee. Maybe he’s not cooled off nearly as much as I thought. Well, 3 minutes of commercials, just about 11 minutes into the show. It’s normally about 20 minutes for the first commercial. Maybe we’re getting a long segment to close out the show tonight. Bron went to spear Je’Von through the barricade but Je’Von juked Bron. Bron goes over, and immediately grabs his knee. I’m sure he’s fine but this is just a reminder that The Vision is cursed. Yup, Breakker is back on the apron and fine. Delivers a killer spear to Evans and the crowd starts barking. Bron’s speed is absurd. Once he breaks away from these guys I have a feeling he’ll be on the way up.

As soon as the match ends, Bron and Theory continue to give Evans and Lee the business. Out comes Otis and Tozawa to make the save. Guess they’ll be the next tag title contenders. Don’t get me wrong, I love Otis and Tozawa. Tozawa can WORK. But they’ve been given nothing to work with and this just makes The Vision look like total losers getting beat on by the Purre Babe’s (and what in the fuck is purre?. I’ll refer to my thoughts from above. Where is Gable? It makes it look like after he just apologized to Otis and Tozawa a few weeks ago that he really doesn’t care for them.

Segment

Judgement Day is holding Danhausen against a wall in the back. They gave him 30 seconds for him to find their money, otherwise they break his jaw. That seems like not enough time. But I’ve never lost $100,00 so maybe I’m way off.

We get a promo for Big Cass. Returning to Raw August 3. They don’t announce Enzo but really, like love and marriage you can’t have one without the other.

It’s been about 10 minutes so naturally it’s time for another commercial break.

And after the break we get… a recap from SNME. Again. This time focused around Danhausen versus JD McDonough.

Danhausen is now coming out to the ring. Did he find the money? He’s holding a briefcase so maybe he has. Danhausen really is the highlight of the show and I don’t care who feels otherwise. I’ve been watching this stuff for 40 years. I can definitely get behind some goofy shit in my wrestling. I don’t need everything to be so serious.

Danhausen says he’s giving the Judgement Day’s human monies to the fanhausens. That seems like a good way to get your jaw broken. Also what are they doing with Dirty Dom? He’s done nothing since he lost his IC title. Danhausen curses the Judgement Day and they jump him in the ring. Joe Hendry comes out. I didn’t hear anyone say his name though. Liv has the briefcase. Let me guess, there’s no money in the bag. They’re going to get ink bombed, aren’t they.

Now a promo for Seth and Roman. Apparently this is a three week thing to build up their long history. “Two career long journeys finally culminate in Minnesota”. Unless one of them is retiring I don’t see this feud culminating here.

Back to Judgement Day in the back. McDonough opens the briefcase and it’s not even real money. He tosses the bag.. and it hits Oba. We’re getting McDonough versus Oba right now. I think McDonough might have a chance here…

Match 2 - Oba Femi versus JD McDonough

Before the match can start we get a commercial. Sure, why not. Hey, look. Popcorn chicken is back at KFC. We return and in a very tightly contested match that lasts not even a minute, Oba wins. Just squeaked through that, really. Five stars. Oba now stares down the camera and says the real money is Hell in a Cell and he’ll see Brock there. He goes to leave the ring… and I guess forgot to hit his pose so goes back to the center of it. Oba must pose.

It’s announced Hootie will be performing the national anthem at SummerSlam. No word on if the Blowfish will accompany him.

Another commercial. We haven’t even been back for 4 minutes. This is absurd. We return to.. Ryan Garcia and Conor Benn promo? Sounds like a couple jobbers to me. 2 minutes of promos for FanaticsFest which was this past weekend. I sure hope we get back to the commercials soon. This wrestling stuff is really interfering with my Cricker Wireless promo time.

Segment

Solo comes out to the ring. Like Dante, he’s not even supposed to be here. He tells Seth to come out to the ring which he does to no hesitation. I guess he wants to speed through this to get back to the commercials as well. What is Seth’s gimmick even these days? He's no longer the visionary, no longer the drip god, no longer the messiah. He’s just a guy that shows up in a brown coat with black shirt and tie.

Seth apparently doesn’t watch the show, he asks Solo if they’re talking or fighting. He must not know Solo has turned face. The crowd boos at Solo saying he’s there to talk. Guess they don't watch the show either.

Solo tells Seth that the Bloodline is going to attack him 4-on-1 at SummerSlam. At least we know Solo has been watching the show. He offers to have Seth’s back at SummerSlam. Seth tells Uce that he’ll think about it. Solo tells Seth he wants to be his Seth to Seth’s Cody. That was as confusing for me to type as for you to read.

Jacob Fatu comes out and gets in the ring as Solo ducks out. Seth gives Fatu a super kick for no reason. He didn’t even come out to back up Roman last week so why? Seth immediately leaves the ring.

Now a promo for Gable versus Penta. They went face to face, promo style, at the SummerSlam kickoff show. Which is 2 weeks before the actual event.

Match 3

Here comes Egon. Ethan Page comes out. And Rusev right behind him. So I was, in fact, onto something earlier. They’re going against Penta and Gable. CAN THEY COEXIST!?

We’ll find out after this commercial break. Good. I needed to see Roman take a rocket pop over his back. Also Cody is the DoorDash champion.

We come back and GA-BLE makes his entrance now. So Page and Rusev were just mean mugging outside the ring for the last 3 minutes. Here comes Penta. What a dope theme. So dope. I just realized.. Penta gets in-ring Pyro? I don’t know if I’m forgetting that or just never noticed before. I was watching a DX video over the weekend and was wondering why nobody has that any longer.

So as a reminder, Gable was in fact in the back. And again failed to give Tozawa and Otis a hand while they’re getting jumped by The Vision. At this point just have him tell Otis “I don’t want to get injured before my IC Title match”.

Oh, good. Another commercial. I was getting worried. It’s been 5 minutes since the last one. We return and whatever. Rusev gets Gable in the accolade. I don’t know, I’m sure this will finish off Gable. He’ll certainly tap out two weeks before his IC title match. Oh, what a surprise. He gets out of it and puts Rusev in a grapevine ankle lock for the tap out victory, after a quick Mexican Destroyer on All Ethan. By the way, there’s Ray Fenix? Maybe it’s Rey Fenix? He’s not on TV enough for me to know really.

Another promo for Seth and Roman. Money in the Bank 2015. Great match. The promo shows Seth ending the show victorious. Something seems off about that but I can’t quite by my lunatic fringe on it.

We’re now in the back and Jacob has changed shirts for some reason. Seth is goading him into hitting him. Then laughs in his face about how Jacob is under strict orders not to touch him. Seth asks if winning Roman’s belt also means he wins Roman’s bag boy.

Commercial time. DiGiorno Djinie. I wish I had some pepperoni. Shark Week is coming up. I think they just showed a guy with a prosthetic arm and leg. Which answers just how much it costs to swim with the sharks. A promo for a Kevin Hart Netflix exclusive movie. Glad to see it, at least I’ll know not to bother looking at it if it shows up on my recommendations.

Did you hear that Fanatics Fest was last weekend?

We get a Paul Heyman promo in a darkened locker room. He’s there speaking as the advocate for Brock. He’s hyping Hell in a Cell. He calls it Extreme. So is it now Hell in a F’N Cell? Apparently Brock has never lost a Hell in a Cell match. I honestly don’t know how true that is. Maybe. But after retiring Brock 3 months ago, I definitely think he can beat Brock at SummerSlam.

Another promo for Rollins and Reigns. This one includes Ambrose. It’s about the Shield’s last stand. It lasted all of about 15 seconds. They remind us that Reigns has never beat Rollins 1-on-1. This is just a reminder that Roman has, in fact, beat Seth.

Match 4 - Dirty Dom versus Joe Hendry

Well. After the commercial. I’ve lost count on the number of commercials by now. The first commercial of the block has Dom thrilled about some chicken tendies. The commercial is over and Hendry is out. He mostly got the job entrance. He got to wave his hands from side to side and say “I believe in Joe Hendry” though before the bell rings. This match was announced earlier in the night, along with Oba and JD. Liv attacks Hendry. Danhausen comes out and tries to curse Liv. She elbows him across the chin. We get a commercial. Pitbull performs. We’re back. I have no idea what the commercials were. I was looking at a meme of Patrick Star watching a thunderstorm on the porch. We’re back for 5 seconds and the screen fades back to black for another 5 seconds. And we’re back from another mini-break. What is even happening. Hendry delivers a nice clothesline from hell. Dom kicks out of it. Is that Hendry’s finisher? I honestly have no idea what his is. Has he won a match since being put on the main roster? Here comes Iyo on Danhausens coffintankcar. The women brawl on the ramp. The cameraman catches an elbow. I hope that wasn’t Stu. The brawl moves into the ring. Then back out Danhausen hits Dom with a reverse DDT called the Danhausen Death Drop. Not to be confused with the Dudley Death Drop. Hendry wins. So I guess his finisher is Danhausen interfering.

Another whatever you want to call it from SummerSlam kickoff. Apparently Danhausen did curse Liv there. So she’s losing the belt at SummerSlam.

Match 5 - LA Knight versus Jacob Fatu

After this commercial, of course. Does anyone have any pepperoni? They show a commercial of a dog shitting. “Optimal poop in 10 days”. I really wish I was creative enough to make this up. And a commercial for Club WWE. Pay us for Club WWE so you can pay us for exclusive John Cena merchandise.

We’re back to the show and we get another recap of SNME. This time showing Jalen Brunson and Roman Reigns. I was actually hoping this was going to be a match. It’d have been much more interesting.

Just announced for SummerSlam - Danhausen versus Dirty Dom. That’s three D’s. Danhausen win confirmed.

Raw next week is in LA. They run down the card. Vision versus Tozawa and Otis. I’ll guess on a win for the Babes so that way they get a title match at the ‘Slam. We also get a Danhausen and Joe Hendry concert.

Knight cuts a promo before the match. He’s not a fan of Solo offering to help Seth. It makes him sick. Knight basically rips into the Big Dawg gimmick. Dawg? Dog? Knight calls Seth a cross-eyed halfwit. Wait.. Seth has a lazy eye? Being honest here, if he does I’ve never noticed it. But still says he doesn’t agree with Solo wanting to help Seth. Makes fun of Jacob’s shakes.

Fatu comes out. No shirt this time. So his attire count for tonight is 2 shirts, 1 skins. Still no match. Another commercial first. It ends with a War Games promo, with no War Pigs.

Back from commercial and the match has started without us. They brawl. We get a commercial. This time it’s Picture in Picture. I can’t remember the last time we got that. I don’t see this match going another 25 minutes. There’s gotta be something big to end the show after all these commercials. During the PIP Jacob gives Knight “Shades of his daddy, Rikishi”. That’s the name of it, right? He then has the shakes. I’m thinking he needs to check is blood sugar level before he gets into the ring with the amount he shakes. Knight almost eats it jumping up the turnbuckle but saves it. Both men down and Jimmy Uce comes out. I assume.. yup, here’s Solo. Jacob dives to the outside and takes out Solo. Knight hits the BFT but the ref is distracted by Big Jim. Royce Keyes comes out and attacks Jimmy. Jey is back and jumps Royce. Knight attacks Jey. Jacob hits the prettiest moonsault ever on Knight for the win. Everyone is in the ring brawling. The bloodline wrecks the team of Solo, Knight, and Keyes. And the live event has ended 15 minutes early, even with all the commercials. Good.
